Reign's First Christmas

I know that I have been delayed in updating my blog with lots of pics of Reign. He has changed so much over these past few weeks. He is now 12 weeks old, an official 3 month old!!!!

My 2 Favorite Guys

Two Weeks Old

One Week Old

Me & Reign

The Love of a Mother is so precious. I tell you. I never knew I could love someone so much. I want the very best for him. I want to protect him from everything. I want him to be healthy. I simply want to give him everything. You know, it's one thing to love your husband and want the best for him, but it's a whole different thing to love a child. I have a new vision of how God loves us to call us his children. Wow.

Welcome Home Reign

THE PROUD PAPA PHOTO

Eric was a trooper in helping me deliver Reign! He has a new found respect for women in general and is eager to preach to all the men to let them know that women need them and that no woman should have to go through childbirth alone! And I say "AMEN!!!!"

October 6, 2008 Reign is Here

Okay, 3 weeks early, Reign Emmanuel came with haste! After the Wedding of the Year on Saturday, October 4th, (my two best friends from college who FINALLY tied the knot this weekend, of which Eric and I were in the wedding), I could not think of a better way to end such a great momentous weekend than welcoming this handsome guy into the world. 6lbs 8oz 20 inches are his stats. His daddy is already eager to get him in a batting cage to teach him how to be a man and a great athlete. We are so happy. I think if there is one word to describe the weekend, I think I would have to steal from my girl - Tisha and say, simply - "I'm HAPPY!"

So enjoy the long stream of pictures to come. Thank you all for your prayers. I am sure that I have tons of emails and phone calls to respond to. Just bare with me!

By the way, thank all of you for the cards and the gifts and the attendance to my baby shower last weekend! It seemed like everything was done "on time".

The Future Proud Papa - Getting Good Practice with Jada-Pooh, our niece living in Japan!! Hey Jadddaapoooh!!!!

33 Weeks Never Looked & Felt So Good

I am so thankful to have a husband who actually thinks that me being pregnant is beautiful. He tells me every day, "Kala, you're the best." You know, I don't know how women do it by themselves. I admire you because with hormones raging and body changes, it is quite hard to keep the confidence in one's beauty as a woman! This is truly a blessing to be able to bring life into this world. It is truly a blessing to be apart of such a miracle. I have two people that I can count on. Even when everyone is pointing out how big my nose is and how puffy my face is, my husband has been a constant encourager. But through my emotional ups and down, it has been my God who has been my constant Best Friend.

The Whabble - 33 Weeks

This is the long awaited pregnant pic of myself. This is a pic of ME in my office at WFU on a Saturday! Eric and I went to my office to do some work and this is actually a picture of a day in which I literally felt like Reign was sitting on my pelvis and jumping up and down. I could barely walk! But I'm doing much better now. I have the pregnant walk - aka - the WHABBLE down pack!!!!

ChildBirthing Classes, Nursery, Registering, Day Care Options...

Well, I must say that I have not been on top of things for my new little man. But that is about to change. As I get bigger and bigger, I am realizing that this little guy is surely on his way and I must decide many things before his arrival. The only thing that I have taken care of is registering at Babies 'R Us. That place is amazing. It's like a Wal-Mart for little people. Who knew that little people needed sooooo much stuff!!! Eric and I were excited for the first 3 aisles, then we got tired! It was an exhausting experience. I've picked out a few local day cares for visitation after I'm done traveling with my new job in September! Things are coming along. To check out our registry, just go to the Babies 'R Us website and type in my name Kala Taylor or Eric Taylor in North Carolina! If you veteran moms see there is anything I have left out, please do let me know!

The Amazing Feeling

I cannot recall the first time I felt Reign moving but I have truly enjoyed feeling this little guy move around A LOT. He is going to be just like his daddy - lots of energy. Right now, he takes after his mommy in that he is NOT a morning person but can stay up all night!!! With my stomach growing, I am realizing more and more how I have to slow down a little bit. I'm so used to running up the stairs when I get home, but now, I have to stop and take a break. I never hit my stomach with my knees when I am putting on my pants, but now, ALL the time!!! It's all very interesting however. This is a picture of Eric and I at a Greensboro Grasshoppers game on the fourth of July. It was so hot because it was so many people, and I quickly realized that the extra 12 pounds that I have gained made the heat unbearable. Ladies, this is a very interesting experience of which I count it a privilege and an honor. I have some really close friends who are believing God for the ability to carry a child and I tell you - it is a miracle from God. Ladies, stay in faith. I'm believing with you. The ladies who are carrying are completely humbled and are standing with you!

Reign Emmanuel Taylor

Okay, so Eric and I have been battling for weeks on what to name our first son. I really liked Emmanuel - No 1: because it started with an E like Eric and No. 2: Because I love the fact that it means "God with US". Isn't that powerful. I mean, sometimes we are not always where God wants us to be but he tends to be WITH us! Just like David said in his Psalms! God is where we are! So, I wanted that to be his first name! Well, Eric had a different point of view. He wanted his son to have a unique name, a name of victory and conquest! He wanted his name to be Reign. So after much debate about Emmanuel Reign Taylor or Reign Emmanuel Taylor, Reign Emmanuel has won!!!! Basically Eric won because I was craving some popcorn and he went to the store and got me some! I know, I know. I'm just like Esau. I'll trade in my birthright for some soup!!!! But I like it now. It is truly a unique name with Victory. Reign, like all of us, can only reign when God is with us!

June 3, 2008 Doctor's Visit - 20 weeks

It's a boy! Eric "knew" without a shadow of a doubt that it was a boy but why did he fall out in the middle of the floor when the nurse who was doing the ultrasound told us?! He was doing snow angels on the carpet! I was so happy. I was secretly wanting a boy but never really spoke about it because I wanted to be happy for whatever I was having. I know Grannie T wanted a girl as well as Momo but Eric and I really wanted a boy and we are so thankful to God for the healthy report we received. We solicit all prayers from our friends, near and far. Pray for a healthy baby and a healthy pregnancy for mommy! It is 90+ degrees in NC and my job requires me to travel to and from multiple counties a day. Getting in and out of the car at this temperature and new found stomach is not really comfortable but your prayers will me get through!!!
